The Bad Batch Producer Says Asajj Ventress Return Will Stick To Canon

Bad Batch producer Brad Winderbaum says Asajj Ventress return will stick to canon. Interesting because she's actually dead.

The Bad Batch producer Brad Winderbaum says Asajj Ventress return will stick to canon. How it will do so remain to be seen as last we saw of Ventress she died. Yet, if you watch the trailer for The Bad Batch Season 3 you’ll see Ventress show up. Feel free to watch the Season 3 trailer below if you have not caught it yet.

This of course had fans wondering whether the novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple had been retconned since that’s where Ventress dies? However, here is what Winderbaum told StarWars.com.

“We love Asajj Ventress. She’s a character that we’ve been wanting to tell more stories about,” Brad Rau, supervising director and one of the executive producers of the series, tells StarWars.com. And he makes clear that her return will honor prior tales, including the book in which the character apparently perished. “We don’t want to spoil anything, but want fans to know that any new storytelling with Ventress will align with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple.”

This of course has fans speculating. Did Ventress fake her death? Was she resurrected by the Nightsisters after her body was placed in the weird green waters by the Jedi?

All that remains to be seen in The Bad Batch Season 3. In Season 3 we are likely years after the culmination of The Clone Wars, so who knows why Ventress would choose to show her face again now? Perhaps she is looking to get revenge against the Empire? Maybe she’s breaking bad again after more recently breaking good?

Feel free to speculate all you want below. However, the fact remains that according to The Bad Batch producer Brad Winderbaum, Asajj Ventress’s return will stick to canon. How they pull it off, well that’s that part open to speculation. Leave any thoughts below.
