DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie play the new characters in the anticipated film, Jurassic World Dominion.

The Synopsis

From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

The American actress found acting while attending Atholton High School. She continued following her dream by attending Tisch School of the Arts. The school where Wise and Gina Rodriguez developed a friendship. Wise’s acting career started in short films, and made her television debut 2017 on an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Today she is known for Spike Lee’s series She’s Gotta Have It. In 2019 Wise and Rodriguez got to work together in Netflix’s Someone Great then later came The Harder They Fall and Fatherhood.

The Mauritanian actor, Mamoudou Athie grew up in Maryland. In 2015 Athie had a taste of what a production was when he played an extra in the film, Experiment. Now he is known for the Netflix series The Get Down, The Circle, Prime Video’s Black Box and Underwater. Earlier this year he was seen as one of the protagonists in Netflix’s Archive 81.

I was connected with DeWanda Wise And Mamoudou Athie to talk about Jurassic World Dominion. They both shared what they feel has made this franchise so successful. Athie spoke about getting to work with the original cast of Jurassic Park and one of his favorite moments. Wise, shared being told to be the Tom Cruise of anything and the love for doing action.
