Did The Halo Infinite Release Date Just Leak?

When will Halo Infinite release?

Delays in the video game interesting are very normal. There are so many moving parts to any one game that scheduling the actual development of any game is near impossible. This is especially true for triple-A titles, who boast expansive development teams and an ungodly number of micro-tasks for them to juggle. And if you lose a key member of your team at any point in the process, it’s highly likely things could get pushed quickly.

Such was the case for Halo Infinite. The anticipated game lost its lead director and lead producer in fairly quick succession back in 2019. With this in mind, a delay was inevitable, though Microsoft seemed adamant about the gaming making the Xbox Series X launch. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be, and not too long ago, the game was delayed indefinitely.

But has the new release date been leaked? Well, maybe. One Twitter user noticed that Amazon posted the release date of The Art of Halo Infinite hardcover book. And, it’s worth noting that these types of books generally release alongside the games.

As you can see, the release date of the book is June 29, 2021. And this brings up the first question: is this a placeholder date? While June is a common placeholder month, it’s usually at the beginning or end of the month. As such, June 29 would be an odd placeholder. Additionally, the 29th is a Tuesday, and Tuesday is a common release date for video games.

All in all, this could mean nothing, but it does at least imply that a summer release for the game is possible. That would mean quite a substantial delay from its November 2020 release date. But it makes sense. In order to avoid crunch and continue development in direction of the newer leaders, it’s crucial they have as much time as possible.

Do you buy this leaked release date for Halo Infinite? If so, is June a good release date? Let us know your thoughts down below!
