Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk Confirmed For Cassian Andor K-2SO Disney+ Series

Where Andor Ends And Why Tony Gilroy Is Not Directing Season 2

Lots of buzz about the upcoming Disney+ streaming service as it was announced that they will be launching this November. With it a ton of content including all of the Star Wars films, and a brand new original live action series, The Mandalorian from Jon Favreau. But a second Star Wars orignial live action series was also announced. Check out the Tweet from Disney!

At the presentation today, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy officially announced the Star Wars spinoff series that will star Diego Luna, reprising his role as Cassian Andor, as well as the voice of Alan Tudyk, who will be reprising his role as K-2SO, this comes via Deadline. They were both first seen in the 2016 film Rouge One: A Star Wars Story directed by Gareth Edwards.

Back in that film we found Cassian as a Rebel Alliance intelligence officer that was in search for the Death Star plans. He had reprogrammed K-2SO, as he was originally a security droid created by the Empire, and became allies with him. This will be a great addition to the Disney+ library as I always thought that there was more to explore in Cassian’s story. Tudyk is sure to bring in some good laughs as K-2SO. Currently he is the voice of Danger Boat on Amazon Prime’s The Tick, which just launched it’s second season, as well as Mr. Nobody on DC Universe’s Doom Patrol.
