Could we see Din Djarin in The Book of Boba Fett? The honest answer is that no one knows. Well, that’s not true, Temuera Morrison knows, but he’s not talking. Given the now established relationship between Fett and Mando and that The Book of Boba Fett is the next chapter of that story, it not unrealistic to imagine. And yet, there really have been zero rumors that Mando could show up. It’s all been pure speculation. So when Morrison was asked about Din Djarin in a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, he was understandably coy.
“I can’t say anything,” Morrison said (with a noted grin). “But we have some wonderful, colorful things to look forward to. I don’t want to say too much about it because we’re all going to go on this journey together. And every little bit of information is pretty precious now.”
There’s a few outlets reporting this as Morrison teasing the inclusion of Mando. However whether we do see a Din Djarin appearance or not, I don’t think we can take any hints from Morrison’s response. We know there are plenty of characters that will appear in The Book of Boba Fett we don’t really know about yet. No, I’m not talking about some of the characters LRM has reported will appear, I just mean in general. The Book of Boba Fett was extremely secretive and very few leaks of any kind came out. We have revealed some familiar bounty hunters will be back, but in what capacity even we cannot really say.
If you’ve watched the trailer, you know as much as anybody outside of the production at this point. I certainly would not rule out a Mando appearance just because Pedro Pascal was never spotted on set at the time. We all know that a stunt performer can play Mando ins the suit with Pascal recording ADR at any point before release. Mando appearing for some reason close to the finale or post-finale with a tease towards the next step of the story would be lapped up by fans after all.
