Were any of your readers aware that there’s a Star Wars film coming out this year? If you didn’t know, we can’t blame you. Disney hasn’t given the film much promotion, official word referring to anything about the film has been as scarce as moisture is on Tatootine, and the film is still without a title.
Not to worry though, there is a Star Wars Project that the House of Mouse has happily been showing off, The Mandalorian. We know more about this intriguing upcoming television series, than we do about the film that will bring an end to Skywalker Saga.

Today we throw another piece of news on the Mandalorian pile as it has been confirmed that there will be a panel for the series at this year’s Star Wars Celebration. The panel will feature the brilliant Jon Favreau who in addition to creating the show serves as executive producer, and fan favorite Dave Filoni (that’s right, the cowboy hat dude who brought us Clone Wars and Rebels), who is also an executive prodcuer as well as having directed two episodes of The Mandalorian. The panel will take place on Sunday, April 14, at 11am on the Celebration Stage.
Pedro Pascal, who some of you may remember as Oberyn Martell, better know as the Viper, on Game of Thrones, and others may know from his time as Javier Peña on Narcos, is set to star in The Mandalorian. Joining Pascal will be Giancarlo Esposito, former MMA fighter Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, and Nick Nolte.
Celebration is also the most likely place for Disney to tell us the title of Episode IX, and hopefully have a trailer as well. Both are overdue by the schedules of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. If Disney doesn’t at least reveal the title at Celebration, I am afraid fans are going to begin to wonder what exactly is going on with the film.
The Mandalorian is rumored to debut on Disney’s brand new streaming service, Disney+, later this year.
