Disenchanted Trailer Brings Back The Magic With Consequences | D23 2022

Disenchanted

15 years after the release of the surprise hit Enchanted comes the sequel a lot of people have been excited for, Disenchanted. The film showcased what fairy tale ideas and characters would look like in a modern world, finding that a balance between the two may be just what we need to find our so-called “happily ever after”.

At this year’s D23 taking place in at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, fans were treated to the first look at the trailer for Disenchanted, which is set to be released exclusively on Disney+ on November 24, 2022. You can check it out below!

The trailer looks fantastic. I think that this is a clever direction to take Disenchanted. Sometimes the everyday routine and your negative surroundings can sometimes darken that idea of a fairy tale life. Turning someone bitter and maybe into the villain they thought they could never become.

It’s great to see the cast returning to the film including Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Maya Rudolph, and James Marsden. Along with Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, and Yvette Nicole Brown. Disenchanted is being directed by Adam Shankman and features new music from the greats Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

Here is the synopsis for Walt Disney’s Disenchanted:

It has been 15 years since Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed. But Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city. So they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee. Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever.

Frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help. Accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.

Disenchanted brings back the magic on November 24, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
