Disney+ is taking another step forward in redefining the streaming landscape with the launch of a dedicated ESPN hub within the Disney+ app, bringing ESPN+ streaming sports content to subscribers in the U.S. The addition complements Disney’s already integrated Hulu and Star+ tiles in Latin America, creating a one-stop destination for sports, entertainment, and family-friendly programming.
This move is a game-changer for subscribers to the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle, offering a seamlessly unified viewing experience that consolidates content from all three brands into the Disney+ app.
“This launch really puts a cherry on top of a fantastic year of innovation at Disney+,” said Alisa Bowen, President of Disney+. “Earlier in the year, we made Hulu available in the Disney+ app, and now we’re doing the same for ESPN+. This gives our bundle subscribers one place to consume everything they love from all our brands.”
A Sports-Filled Start
Bundle subscribers will have access to over 5,000 live sports events within the first 90 days, including marquee matchups from the NFL, NBA, NHL, college basketball, and the Australian Open, according to John Lasker, Senior Vice President of ESPN+. Beyond the initial slate, ESPN+ delivers more than 30,000 live sports events annually, along with on-demand replays, original programming like 30 for 30 documentaries, and studio shows—all available through the Disney+ app.
Standalone Disney+ subscribers are also getting a preview of the enhanced experience. The app now features ESPN and Hulu tiles, giving these users a curated selection of live sports, studio shows, ESPN Films, and Hulu originals, along with an option to upgrade to the full bundle.
“One of the things I’m most excited about with this launch is that we’re also making the ESPN and Hulu tiles visible to all subscribers,” Bowen added. “It’s a great way to showcase everything we offer and give standalone Disney+ subscribers an easy path to discover and access more.”

Preparing for the Future
The launch not only enriches Disney+ today but also sets the stage for ESPN’s flagship direct-to-consumer product, expected in Fall 2025.
“There’s nothing like live sports,” said Lasker. “Live sports are storytelling in real time. They bring people together for shared experiences that last lifetimes and generations.”
With this latest integration, Disney+ continues to solidify its position as a leader in streaming innovation.
