This year, Disney’s iconic Mickey Mouse and his friends are paying homage to classic Marvel covers in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Avengers and X-Men. The collaboration, titled DISNEY WHAT IF? VARIANT COVERS, features unique renditions of Marvel’s most memorable and groundbreaking stories. These covers will grace select issues of Amazing Spider-Man throughout the year, with both colored and black-and-white versions available.
The next trio of DISNEY WHAT IF? VARIANT COVERS, scheduled for release from October to December, brings a whimsical twist to Marvel’s legendary comics. Fans can look forward to seeing Goofy, Donald, and Daisy take on the roles of Wolverine, Captain America, and Black Widow in a reimagining of their famous team-up from Uncanny X-Men #268. Additionally, Mickey, Minnie, and the gang will enter the revolutionary Krakoan age, first seen in House of X #1. The covers also include the beloved characters assembling for the pivotal “Disassembled” storyline from Avengers #500.
