Disney Channel Casts Their Live-Action Kim Possible Leads

Well, Kim Possible fans, the search is over. Disney Channel has been working on the casting for the upcoming live-action take on the animated series for some time now, and given the popularity of the animated series among the early-to-mid-20s crowd, you know there are a lot of folks out there who take this business seriously.

So who did they end up with? According to a report from Variety, the network has locked down Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone for Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, respectively. Giambrone may be recognizable to viewers of The Goldbergs, but Stanley is new to the business, and Kim Possible was her first-ever audition — though she apparently has since guest-starred in Game Shakers.

“Sadie delivers Kim’s confidence, smarts, and agility; most importantly, she’s an everyday girl with an extraordinary spirit,” said Judy Taylor, senior vice president of casting and talent relations for Disney Channel. “Sean is such a magnetic actor; he always finds the right balance of physical comedy and heart. We’re excited for audiences to see Sadie and Sean bring these iconic roles to life.”

The live-action film is set to go into production this summer and will debut some time in 2019. On board to write the script are Kim Possible animated series creators Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley. What do you think of these in the role? Let us know your thoughts down below!
