Disney Release New International Poster For Christopher Robin

Disney has released a new official international poster for Christopher Robin as you can see below courtesy of IMP Awards. The live-action adventure stars Ewan McGregor as an adult version of Christopher Robin, the boy who grew up playing in the Hundred Acre Wood with Pooh Bear and his friends. The story revolves around a grown up Christopher who has somehow lost his way and the lovable animals from his childhood must help him see the loving playful boy still inside.

The poster does a good job of showing the clash of the childish Pooh Bear with the suited and grown-up Christopher Robin. However, this probably won’t end up too dissimilar to any other movie where the lead has to learn to get in touch with their childish side again. The difference between the good and bad versions of this classic tale are normally in the execution. Something tells me Disney are the most bankable studio to get a story like this right.

McGregor stars alongside, Hayley Atwell who plays his wife Evelyn and the animals are voiced by Jim Cummings(Pooh), Chris O’Dowd (Tigger), Brad Garret (Eeyore), Toby Jones (Owl), Nick Mohammed (Piglet), Peter Capaldi (Rabbit) and Sophie Okonedo (Kanga).

Disney’s Christopher Robin is directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Alex Ross Perry and Allison Schroeder and a story by Perry based on characters created by A.A. Milne. Christopher Robin comes to theaters on August 3.

Sounds like one to take the kids to in the holidays. Pooh and his friends have been around so long I’ll bet most of our readers liked the stories as kids. Share your thoughts in the usual place.
