The centennial Disney 100 celebration with its animated film Wish will soon arrive in your home theater.
Disney Animated Studios announced that the film will be available digitally later this month, on January 23rd. As for the physical media, with 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, the film will be available on March 12.
The packages will include an all-new documentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, a deleted song, and a sing-along version with on-screen lyrics.
The lead voice stars are Ariana DeBose as Asha and Chris Pine as King Magnifico. The rest of the voice cast included Alan Tudyk, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Kumiyama, Evan Peters, Harvey Guillen, Ramy Youssef, Niko Vargas, Jon Rudnitsky, and Della Saba. Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn directed the animated film from the screenplay written by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore.
Here is Wish’s synopsis:
In this animated musical-comedy, Asha, a sharp-witted idealist in the kingdom of Rosas, makes a powerful wish that’s answered by Star, a ball of boundless energy. Soon, Asha and Star must face a formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas—to save her community and prove that when one brave human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things happen.
