So it sounds like Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius won’t be the only villain rearing his silver-speckled head in Doctor Strange, the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On a recent episode of Harmontown, the podcast for Community creator Dan Harmon (who is known to have done some rewrites for Doctor Strange), the writer pulled up a list of files on his computer. One eagle-eyed Reddit user named Bifrost5 noticed that one of the documents was titled “Strange Confronts Dormamu.” Dormamu, for those who don’t know, is one of the more prominent recurring villains for Doctor Strange.
Is this, indeed, a catch from the Reddit user, or have we merely succumbed to the trickery of a funny fellow? As of right now, we only know about Kaecilius, but it wouldn’t be out of character for Marvel to either have multiple villains, or set up a villain for a future film.
We’ll have to wait and see on that one. In addition, we have some new footage and photos for the flick.
In case you haven’t noticed, Marvel Studios is being run by some pretty smart folks. The superhero film genre is fully saturated, and as a result, they’re really looking to keep changing things up. They touted this fact back when Captain America: The Winter Soldier when they billed it as a more of a political thriller than a standard superhero movie, and why we got a crazy cool space opera with Guardians of the Galaxy.
With Doctor Strange, we’re heading to world full of magic, alternate dimensions, and kaleidoscope effects. And I have proof of the last one.
On Thursday, the official Doctor Strange Twitter account released a video, and the result was…trippy to say the least.

And lastly, the Twitter account also released this snazzy-looking motion poster featuring what looks like a portal to another dimension.
