Doctor Strange Sequel To Shoot This November | LRM’s Barside Buzz

The latest Barside Buzz says the Doctor Strange 3 rumored plot will adapt the Time Runs Out comic book.

Updated: Added information from our own sources.

According to a new report, the Doctor Strange sequel is to shoot this November in the U.K. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently scheduled or March 25th, 2022. It looks as though the filming is getting ready to begin in just over a month’s time. That means production schedule-wise, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is ahead of Spider-Man 3. The Spidey threequel isn’t expected to begin filming until this December. However, Spider-Man 3 is still ahead of Doctor Strange 2 in the release schedule with a date of November 5th, 2021.

The report comes from Murphy’s Multiverse who have heard production on the Doctor Strange sequel will begin this November. The outlet also points to other signs that production is imminent to back up their claim.

We also have evidence on our end. We know, thanks to our own source, that meetings began for production weeks ago. With sets and props likely being built for the months to come, November seems likely.

The evidence is there for me, so I trust this report of a November start date barring any last-minute hitches. Doctor Strange 2 has already moved twice, once for the entire Coronavirus related shift and once to switch with Spider-Man 3. The question remains, could Marvel end up switching Spider-Man 3 and DS2, especially with the latter being a month ahead on the filming schedule?

Doctor Strange sequel is to shoot this November

That’s merely speculation the outlet makes, but it also crossed my mind as well. However, we have no idea what the length of these shoots are? It’s entirely possible that Spider-Man 3 could have a smaller shooting window and still be finished before DS2? Though, Sony are involved in the equation when it comes to Spider-Man 3. Therefore the date could be the one chosen by Sony, and therefore non-negotiable. Irrespective of when Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is completed?

It is widely rumored that America Chavez will make her MCU debut in the Doctor Strange sequel and come from another reality. The rumors are strong and varied enough that I think we can include Chavez with as much certainty as we can Scarlet Witch in DS2. Sam Raimi as you probably know is now directing after Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson stepped away from the project. Derrickson and Marvel cited creative differences in the split. Usually, this means Derrickson wanted to make a movie that Marvel didn’t fancy. These complications happen in the movie business and at times cannot be helped.
