Does Ellen Page Want To Come Back For The Kitty Pryde Movie?

We know a Kitty Pryde movie is on the way. We know that legendary comic author turned DC talent Brian Michael Bendis is writing the script for Deadpool director Tim Miller to direct. We even know it is based on Uncanny X-Men #143.

What we don’t know is who will play Kitty Pryde.

Sure, the Gambit film has had Channing Tatum on lock down forever, as it cycles through writers and directors, but, with most films like this, we wouldn’t hear a casting announcement until the script is closer to completion.

But, we have seen Kitty Pryde on the big screen before, portrayed by Ellen Page in both X-Men: The Last Stand and the more recent X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Cinemablend asked Page about her involvement, and though she is not a part of the production yet, but she would love to be:

“I loved playing Kitty Pryde, and I think one of the things I always felt was I wish I could have done more. My experience in the films wasn’t necessarily that extensive and she is such a great character. I don’t know anything about the movie to be honest with you, but yeah, of course, that’s something I’d love to do, but I don’t know.”

With the bizarre and non-nonsensical X-Men timeline, I really can’t predict if Fox would bring her back or would be looking for a new actor, as even Gambit was played by a different actor besides Tatum already in X-Men: Wolverine Origins. That being said, I bet Fox wants to go younger at this point. Just a hunch.

Would you want to see Ellen Page return as Kitty Pryde? Or should a different actress be given a chance to bring the beloved member of the X-Men to life? Let us know in the comment section below!
