Disney’s second anthology film, Solo: A Star Wars Story is just about three months away. While the production was plagued with many problems, now that fans have seen the recent trailers, all systems are a go for the backstory to everyone’s favorite space smuggler. Multitalented performer Donald Glover, who plays the iconic Lando Calrissian in the film, recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight while promoting Atlanta Season 2, and talked about how much more fun Solo is than your average Star Wars film.

“I think it’s just a lot more fun. All the Star Wars [movies] are really fun, but I think this movie, we know what’s going to happen, we know they’re not going to die, ya know? We know, kind of, what happens, but how we got there, I guess, is the crux of it. So we’re allowed to have a lot more fun than I think the other movies where you have to deal with a lot of the lineage in what’s going to happen. I think this movie’s, like, just a fun, summer film. I’m really excited about it. It’s really cool.”

All of us are excited as well, Mr. Glover. He is correct in saying that we know Han, Chewie, and Lando will survive the film, and that takes a little bit of suspense away, but hey we will get to meet Han’s mentor, its also very likely we will get to see the famed Kessel run that is a huge part of Han Solo’s lore. I will be in the theater opening night.
