Dora, played by Isabela Moner, had spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, but now must navigate her next adventure, High School. In this film she will be leading her best friend Boots and a group of teens on a Goonies like quest to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
Currently the film is in production in Queensland, Australia. It is being directed by James Bobin with Kristin Burr producing. Pena joins Moner, Longoria, Eugenio Derbez, Mickie Moreno, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden, Adriana Barraza and Temuera Morrison on the film.
We last saw Pena in Ant-Man and the Wasp, where he once again took on the fan favorite role of Luis. Recently he wrapped up filming a crime drama with Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper titled, The Mule, and will be in season four of Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico.
