Surf music is a signature genre for every summer. 

“Summer Luv” will be the new song to add to this summer’s playlist. Dylan Garcia’s unique tone makes him stand out from this music category as he compiles Mexican, Native American and Reggae mixtures to his creations. Previous work has included “It’s a Beautiful Day,” “Coming Home,” and “Devil’s Playground.”

“Just Another Day” is one of his popular hits that has been turned into a remix with Mila Nieves. 

During this quarantine, Garcia had a chance to create his new single, “Summer Luv”. 

I had the chance to have a Zoom call with him to discuss this new single. He shared how thanks to a heartbreak back in college he discovered he had the ability to create music. We also discussed mental health and being a part of N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Health Illness), who also helps the family of those dealing with mental health. Garcia opened up and shared his own experience in how music has helped him deal with his own struggles after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2009.
