Echo 3, a new action-thriller was written by Academy Award-winning producer and Mark Boal, has been greenlit by Apple TV+
The ten-part series is set in South America as part of the streaming services growing network of original programming.
Based on the award-winning Keshet Broadcasting series When Heroes Fly, the series follows Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist and the emotional center of an American family. She goes missing along the Colombian-Venezuelan border, and it’s up to her brother and husband to seek her whereabouts. Despite the two men’s deep military experiences, their complicated pasts marked a very layered personal drama set against a backdrop of a secret war.
Echo 3 will be shot in both English and Spanish dialogue. Boal will serve as the primary showrunner with executive producer Jason Horwitch (Berlin Station, House of Cards) as a co-showrunner.
