Eddie Murphy Set To Star In Film Based Off Of Grumpy Old Men

Eddie Murphy is set to star in a new film being based off the 1993 Jack Lemmon and Walter  Mathau comedy Grumpy Old Men. Tim Story, who is probably most well-known for directing the first two Fantastic Four films is set to direct.

Murphy, as most of you know started out as a stand-up comedian with two very popular specials. As a kid if you hadn’t found a way to sneak a viewing of Raw or Delirious, then you just weren’t part of the cool kids club. Murphy was at one time one of the bigger stars in Hollywood,  but he hasn’t been seen in a film since 2016’s Mr. Church, but can next be seen in the Netflix film, My Name is Dolemite.

While most of us groan at the idea of remakes, this one just seems like a good idea. I wouldn’t mind at all if he got Arsenio Hall on board and they based the film off their characters in Coming to America.  Though, an original story is far more likely, and I am all good with that as well. Murphy is also attached to a fourth Beverly Hills Cop film as well as joining Triplets, which will be a sequel to the 1989 Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito comedy, Twins. The film is set to star all three actors.
