The Devil Has A Name: Edward James Olmos Directs A Serious Topic With A Touch Of Humor [Exclusive Interview]

Edward James Olmos directs and stars in the new film The Devil Has A Name out today! A film that covers true serious life events with a touch of amusement.

 

Here’s the synopsis of the film:

Widowed, broke and adrift, farmer Fred Stern (David Strathairn) finds a new purpose in life when he learns that a multinational oil company has been polluting his water. But as his crusade against the powers that be spills out of the courtroom and into his personal life, Fred must find a way to avoid the ruin of his farm, his family and his dreams. Inspired by bizarre, true events, The Devil Has a Name pulls back the curtain on the culture of greed that poisons Corporate America, from sea to polluted sea.

Edward James Olmos has been in the entertainment industry for over 50 years. He began his career as a musician, but has achieved outstanding success as an actor, producer and humanitarian. This Icon has received prestigious awards. Including a Golden Globe for his role as Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver. He directed and starred in his first film American Me. His success has never gotten in the way for him to forget to give back to his communities that supported him. Olmos is an international spokesperson and humanitarian. A advocate for organizations like The River Keepers, The Boy’s and Girl’s Club of America, Thank you Oceans to name a few.

It was an honor to speak to el Señor Edward James Olmos about The Devil Has A Name. He shared why he wanted to be a part of this project, not only as an actor but also as a producer.   Olmos also discussed how the high caliber cast came together and gave a little history about the famous lawsuit against the Ford Motors Company in the 70s.
