Tatiana Maslany Debunks She-Hulk Rumors?

Tatiana Maslany denies she's been cast as She-Hulk in Disney Plus series - CNET

The only area Marvel has ever trailed DC in is on the small screen. They have been looking to remedy that with shows like Wandavision and Loki. In addition, another intriguing project coming to Disney+ is She-Hulk. There have been names thrown around for some time now including names like Betty Gilpin, Alison Brie, and Kerry Washington. Finally, Tatiana Maslany appeared to be cast in the role of Jen, (assumingly Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk).

Well, pump the brakes. Maslany spoke with the Leader-Post and provides some conflicting information. When asked about how she felt being able to portray the She-Hulk character, Maslany replied:

“That actually isn’t a real thing and it’s like a press release that’s gotten out of hand. It’s totally not — I’ve been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it’s not actually a thing, unfortunately.”

After some confusion due to the BBC and other outlets claiming otherwise, she expressed:

“Yeah, I don’t know how these things get — I don’t know, I don’t know. You know better; I have no idea. (Laughs.)”

So, is this a smokescreen, or is it actually true? Not only are some serious outlets picking it up, but it seems coincidental that she is playing the character Jen, yet not She-Hulk. But again, maybe that is false as well.

Still, more conversation has been discussed by fans as to what type of She-Hulk we will get. The show could take more of the Charles Soule route having a comical approach with a Jen/She-Hulk attorney. However, I hope it is more in line with the grounding Mariko Tamaki’s interpretation provides of PTSD connection to hulk-mode.
