Marionette directed by Elbert van Strien

Can we control our own destinies or is there an entity already controlling our livelihoods? Filmmaker Elbert van Strien seeks out those answers in the thriller Marionette with a child psychologist discovering a child having mystical powers to alter people’s lives.

The supernatural thriller stars Thekla Reuten (In Bruges), Peter Mullan (Children of Men), Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones), and Elijah Wolf (T2: Transpotting).

Here’s the official synopsis:

In the wake of losing her husband in a seemingly random accident, child psychiatrist Marianne Winter starts life anew in Scotland. There, she begins treating a secretive 10-year-old who claims to control the future through his drawings. When his horrific sketches start coming true, Marianne begins an obsession that will derail her life and reality.
