Electronic Arts and BioWare have unveiled an exciting new cinematic trailer for their upcoming game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The latest installment in the Dragon Age franchise introduces a new ensemble of companions, showing off an engaging single-player RPG experience set to launch on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in Fall 2024.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard continues to build on the foundational elements of the series. Players can expect a bold and heroic journey, rich storytelling, fluid and strategic combat, deep companionship dynamics, and impactful choices. The first look at gameplay will be revealed on Tuesday, June 11, at 8:00 a.m. PT on the Dragon Age YouTube channel, showcasing more than 15 minutes of gameplay from the opening moments.
In this new chapter, players will take on the role of Rook, a fully-customizable hero leading a team of extraordinary characters known as the Veilguard. Central to the game is the theme of fellowship, with each companion featuring their own storylines, motivations, and skill trees. The narrative will be pivotal in deciding the fate of Thedas, with Rook needing to rally a team and forge strong relationships to become an unexpected leader.

The game introduces a cast of seven companions, each bringing unique skills and personalities to the battlefield. Players can combine different team members to adapt to various challenges, creating powerful combinations to turn the tide of battle. The companions include:
- Bellara: A creative and romantic Veil Jumper with a passion for uncovering ancient secrets.
- Davrin: A charming Grey Warden known for his prowess as a monster hunter.
- Emmrich: A necromancer from Nevarra’s Mourn Watch, accompanied by his skeletal assistant, Manfred.
- Harding: A dwarven scout with a big heart, positive outlook, ready bow, and surprising magical abilities.
- Lucanis: An assassin from the House of Crows, renowned for his poise and pragmatism.
- Neve: A cynical private detective and member of Tevinter’s rebellious Shadow Dragons, fighting for a better future.
- Taash: A daring dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune, always ready for adventure.
