Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic universe, recently spoke up about the possibility of her character getting a solo film. Olsen seems to be content with the way she is utilized by Marvel, but also seems open to having the character branch out, if the powers that be ever decided they wanted to pursue that avenue.
“We are at ground zero…It’s definitely not something I’m pushing,” Olsen said on a recent episode of Everything Iconic “I don’t know if it’s something they’re going to push either. Paul Bettany and I joke about having like a domestic television show on Netflix or something…It would just be like house event, where Scarlet Witch goes bananas. That’s what we joke about, but I don’t think either of those things are happening. I’m happy that I’m still around and they still use me well, and that’s fine.”

Even with assuming Olsen’s character survives the next two Avengers films, it is unlikely that Marvel would pursue a spin-off film for Scarlet Witch, unfortunately, it just doesn’t seem to be in the cards for the character. I agree with Olsen that Marvel has used Scarlet Witch properly. Though I have to admit, I would probably watch a sitcom with Scarlet Witch and Vision, as long as it had a cheesy 80s laugh track.
