Elliot Page Had Talks With Marvel | Barside Buzz

According to a new rumor, Elliot Page had talks with Marvel. Page is most famous for playing Vanya Hargreeves in the Umbrella Academy, which as we know has been an insanely popular show from Netflix. According to insider Daniel Richtman on his Patreon service, Page has had talks with Marvel, presumably for a role in the MCU. Richtman’s MCU it rate is pretty good, so there’s no reason to throw shade on this rumor. According to Richtman Marvel wants to diversify their line up and see Page as a way to do that.

To be honest this makes a heck of a lot of sense. When it comes to diversity the obvious pull of Page is that the actor identifies as a man, though was born female biologically. Page recently changed his name from Ellen to Elliot and has become a champion for gender fluidity. However, the most important aspect of all this is not Page’s gender choices, but the fact he is a damn fine actor. I would love for Page to show up in some way in the MCU, what role, I couldn’t even begin to guess? However, as a fan of Umbrella Academy, I am just happy to see more of Page.

Elliot Page Had Talks With Marvel

There are some other Umbrella Academy actors I feel are future megastars also. Robert Sheehan is an actor I have admired since I first saw him on British TV show Misfits. In my opinion that show took a downward turn when Sheehan left. Marvel Studios has so far done a fantastic job of getting the right actors. I have faith that is Marvel are talking to Page it’s because they have the perfect role lined up for him. However, we know Marvel Studios has been talking to some actors years before they find the right part for them. We therefore could be looking at something much farther down the MCU production line.
