Eternals Character Descriptions Finally Revealed

Below we finally have some detailed Eternals character descriptions. Yesterday already saw some leaked merchandising images and it’s a good bet the character descriptions below come from merchandising of some kind also. I have no reason to doubt these are legit, especially seen as the descriptions we have already had from merch matched up exactly.

So let’s get to these character descriptions courtesy of ETERNALS News.

Ikaris (Richard Madden), looks set to be the de-facto leader and most powerful Eternal. His powers do not seem dissimilar to those used by Superman in DC.

Ajak (Salam Hayek), is described as the spiritual leader of the Eternals, whatever that means? She can heal and she can communicate with the Celestials, though one assumes no longer since as far as we know they are dead.

Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), does not get much here. He is an inventor and what I’d call in fantasy a Smith. Apart from the fact he has been nudging Humanity along we don’t get much of an idea of any powers other than his ability to basically be MacGyver. I’ll only rate his skills higher than MacGyver’s when I see him make a plane out of a cement mixer, a ceiling fan and some garbage bags.

Makkari ( Lauren Ridloff), seems to a speedster from this description, though not a runner. It would be hard to run through the cosmos scouting planets after all? Oh wait, they call her a cosmic runner, so…I dunno? Oh and Makkari is deaf, so that will be interesting.

Druig (Barry Keoghan), I always thought was the villain of all this? Perhaps I am not wrong there, but to begin with at least, Druig will be an Eternal who has gone down his own path.

Gilgamesh (Ma Dong-Seok), is described as being hard to tell between friend and foe. Interesting description, and with his connection to Thena, and reference to them being exiled from the rest of the team, Gilgamesh is a bit of an enigma.

Thena (Angelina Jolie), like Gilgamesh is intriguing and mysterious. Could Thena be the real villain, or antagonist of this movie? I just have a feeling Jolie is not sticking around for multiple movies in the MCU. I guess we will see?

Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), is a character we have already heard quite a bit about. His status as a Bollywood star was known previously, though not necessarily his attraction to fame itself.

Sprite ( Lia McHugh), sounds like the most tragic character to me. Imagine being stuck as a pre-pubescent child for eternity? I do wonder if there is ever a sequel will McHugh be recast or will they find a way for her to begin ageing?
