Exclusive Clip: Hidden Messages in Broadcast Signal Intrusion

Broadcast Signal Intrusion

In any video, one has to wonder about all the hidden messages implanted as clues to lead into something greater. In the mystery film Broadcast Signal Intrusion, a video editor tracks down a series of clues hidden in the videos of old broadcasts.

The film stars Harry Shum Jr. (Glee, Crazy Rich Asians), Kelley Mack (The Walking Dead), and Chris Sullivan (This Is Us, Stranger Things).

Here’s the brief synopsis of the film:

While logging tapes of decades-old TV broadcasts, video archivist James (Harry Shum Jr.) discovers a surreal and disturbing clip that James believes is the product of a mysterious broadcast signal hacking. His discovery takes a sinister turn when he tracks down similar broadcast intrusions that send him on an obsessive mission. Now James must confront two very real possibilities: that the videos may be clues to a crime beyond all comprehension, and that whoever was behind them may be very aware that James is coming uncomfortably close to the truth.

Jacob Gentry directed the movie from the screenplay written by Phil Drinkwater and Tim Woodall. The film’s story was inspired by actual broadcast interruptions that occurred in Chicago back in the late 1980s and remained unsolved to this date.

LRM Online has an exclusive clip from the film Broadcast Signal Intrusion that has Harry Shum Jr. and Kelley Mack in the scene. The minute-long clip has Alice (played by Mack) discovering a hidden Morse code that translates into a seven-digit phone number as she demonstrates to James (played by Shum Jr.).
