Black Phone stars Ethan Hawk where he plays a horrific murderer that we meet in the trailer in white face paint and a top hat. He lures a boy named Finney Shaw, played by Mason Thames, by claiming to be a part-time magician. But the truth is soon revealed as we then see Finney in a murder basement. When we see Hawks’ character again, he is wearing a very scary mask and taunts the boy with terrible stories. Away from the basement, there is a young girl that seems to be able to see Finney’s predicament. She is doing whatever she can to help him escape.

Here is the synopsis for Universal Pictures Black Phone
Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Universal Pictures’ Black Phone will be released in theaters on February 4th, 2022.
