EXCLUSIVE: DARK/WEB Begins Shooting Episode Written By LRM Reader (Images)

LRM has exclusively learned that as of Wednesday, January 26, the production on the Dark/Web anthology episode “Hacked” has officially begun! Those of you following the progress of the upcoming digital series Dark/Web may recognize the episode title, which was written by one of our readers, Christopher Webster, whose script won over the producers of Dark/Web, and made its way into the actual show.

Dark/Web is a unique hybrid of serialized and anthological storytelling. It contains and overarching narrative, but within each of the episodes is a separate, standalone anthology that somehow plays into the main plot of the story. Webster’s own script will be one of those standalone pieces. Each episode of Dark/Web explores themes related to the internet and the dangers present in the murky, unexplained layers of the web. Paranoia, isolation, vanity, loss of identity, the viral nature of ideas and social media pressures are just a few of the subjects the show tackles.

The synopsis for the anthology “Hacked” is as follows in the words of the writer himself:

“When a chance encounter brings seventeen year-old Misty Hansen instant online fame, she thinks her dreams have come true. But after a series of pranks leads her to believe she’s been hacked, Misty soon discovers that getting noticed online can become a total nightmare.”
