The latest Star Wars based Barside Buzz is that an Ezra Bridger spin-off is rumored for Disney+. Now as per the title where I said again, I’ll point to the fact LRM already claimed this was happening back in 2020. In one of our own exclusives we dropped news that a Boba Fett show, and Ezra/Thrawn show, and an unnamed show would all tie into both Ahsoka (rumored before us elsewhere) and The Mandalorian. You’ll find a link to that initial report below.
I can give no updates. Our sources have clammed up tighter than Mr. Krabs wallet in recent months. That’s due to a crazy amount of leaks (we were not involved with) for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Whether we will get any more exclusive information now remains to be seen going forward? The only part we were unsure of was whether the unnamed show was the now scrapped Rangers of the New Republic or actually the in production Skeleton Crew?
Now Daniel RPK claims on his Patreon that he’s heard Ezra Bridger, who is played by Eman Esfandi, will get a spin-off show after his live-action debut in Ahsoka. Daniel does not appear to have any other details to share at this time from his end. There is no mention of Thrawn in his report. However I’ll guess, Thrawn will be very much present in that project.
Now as always, even with our own exclusives, nothing is definite until the president lady sings. In this case, that’s Kathy Kennedy, or an official announcement. I trust that information we received, but that was also two years ago. We’ve seen how fast things can change at Lucasfilm. It may be some of what we reported has evolved slightly since then? Honestly I can’t tell you anything else for now.
I have no idea where the endgame of all this MandoVerse is going? However the foundations are being built for sure. If this rumor checks out then we have Mando, Ahsoka, Boba Fett, and Ezra/Thrawn all confirmed. If Skeleton Crew connect to this era (this is where it’s set also), then it likely confirms that as the unnamed fifth part of this story. I guess we will find out soon enough.
What do you think of the latest Star Wars based Barside Buzz that an Ezra Bridger spin-off is rumored for Disney+? Do you think our old exclusive is exactly what is happening here? As always, leave anything below.
