Fast & Furious series always go big in terms of promotion.
This year’s Super Bowl LV may be the least attended in terms of fans and television commercials, but Universal Pictures continues to promote its latest entry F9 regardless of the pandemic.
F9 is the ninth chapter (and not the final one) after two decades of earning $5 billion worldwide.
The returning cast includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sue Kang. They’re joined by Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Cardi B, and a cameo from Ozuna. Justin Lin returns to the director’s chair after helming the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth chapters of the series.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot let by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena).
Like the prior films, the action takes place from London to Tokyo, Central America to Edinburgh, and even in a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the streets of Tbilisi.
All Fast & Furious films are a guilty pleasure popcorn movie. Not only they ignore the laws of physics and reality, but it’s also just fun to watch the absurd ideas that fast cars can do. With this new Super Bowl ad, it didn’t disappoint as with what one care could do.
