Fantastic Beasts 2: Ezra Miller’s Credence Is On A Journey To Find Himself In The Movie

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to be quite the epic adventure. While that first film managed to ride along comfortably with pretty much one main plot and just a couple minor subplots, its sequel looks to be more of an ambitious affair that further ties itself to the existing world of Harry Potter. But what exactly will be going on in the film?

According to a new report from Collider, there will be some very key plotlines. We will be following Grindelwald gathering support following his escape from custody in the first film, and on the other side — working against the evil wizard, who wants to take over the muggle world — is Dumbledore, who is using a poor Newt Scamander as his pawn. We also have to account for returning witches Tina and Queenie along with the highlight of the last film — the nomaj known as Jacob.

But we can’t forget about Credence. In that first film, he lived under the oppression of a Second Salemer, forcing him to keep his abilities secret until they came out in a dangerous explosion, taking lives with it. But how will he factor into the new story?

It sounds like he’ll be showing up in some sort of circus where he’ll find many other outcasts to make friends with — although the outlet states that it’s a complicated relationship…whatever that means. They also go on to say that Credence will be on a journey to find out who he really is, “which will act as a meeting point for all of the main characters as they come together in Europe to try and save Credence — or destroy him.”

Something tells me that Credence’s recent awakening could lead him to align himself with the likes of Grindelwald, but we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
