Fast & Furious: Keanu Reeves Met With Franchise Writer About Possible Role

The Fast & Furious franchise may have started off as a quaint little mid-budget movie about a group of street-racers stealing DVD players from a bunch of big rigs, but over time, it grew into a multi-billion-dollar franchise, and with that, has brought on some pretty heavy-hitting names. Among these names are Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Luke Evans, Kurt Russell, Helen Mirren, Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Ryan Reynolds, and countless others.

As the franchise rides out the big 1-0, you can only imagine they will be lining up some even bigger names, and these days, you can hardly go wrong with Mr. John Wick himself, Keanu Reeves. This guy has had one hell of a fan resurgence, and you can only imagine the franchise would be courting him

Long-time franchise screenwriter Chris Morgan recently spoke with Screen Rant, and confirmed such talks have taken place.

“I sat down with him and we’re talking about. I wanted him to be in the Fast universe for a very long time. We’re just trying to find… the hardest thing is always time and competing schedules and then designing the right thing together. My fervent desire is to bring him into this franchise for sure.”

Please, make this happen. And if you do, please make Reeves a villain. I wanna see him bring that gun-fu action to the wrong side of the law, and make him an imposing baddie who proves a real threat to the family, and maybe even takes out one of them in action.
