Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson got up early this Thursday to present to his followers on social media with the newest trailer for Fast And Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Watch the trailer above!
Posted just before sunrise on the west coast, Johnson tweeted the trailer as well as giving an intro to the trailer on his Instagram.
Marketed as the first spinoff in the long line of films in the Fast & Furious franchise, Johnson and Jason Stratham reprise their roles as lawman Luke Hobbs and villain-turned-outcast Deckard Shaw. The two are forced to team up in order to stop a cyber-genetically enhanced villain (Idris Elba) who threatens humanity. Also featured in the film are Vanessa Kirby as Shaw’s sister Hattie, Eiza González, Cliff Curtis, Joe Anoa’i (aka Roman Reigns from the WWE), and Helen Mirren—also deriding her The Fate Of The Furious character Magdalene Shaw.

Judging by the trailer, the film hops from England to Hawai’i with intense action sequences and a high level of comedy—judging by the constant bickering between Hobbs and Shaw throughout. For those who think the action is a little too physics defying: welcome to the Fast & Furious universe. They’ve been defying physics for nearly twenty years. Just sit back, put away the science, eat your popcorn, and enjoy the ride.
