For days now we have been teasing the trailer for Universal Pictures, Fast X. We have been looking back at the past films “Legacy Trailers” as a reminder of how we got here. It was in 2001 that the world was introduced to these characters and since then some of came and gone and sadly one has even passed away. For 22 years the Fast and Furious franchise has delivered entertaining fast-paced films that have gotten more thrilling and over the top as the years went on.

On Friday morning Universal Pictures finally released the official trailer for Fast X. You can check it out below!

In the trailer for Fast X, we see that the next threat in line is going to be the son of the drug kingpin Hernan Reyes, who was taken out by Dom and his crew. Now Dante, played by Jason Momoa is here for revenge. Waiting for the right moment to strike. The real question will be, at one point does he also join Dom’s crew and become part of the family? (Joking… but really though?)

Another thing the trailer highlights is the insane amount of past characters that will be showing up in the film. From past foes to friends. Also, are we actually going to get some racing again? The Fast and the Furious films have always been fun, sometimes even comical for their over-the-top antics, like cars in space, but one thing they have always been is entertaining.

Here is the synopsis for Fast X:

Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious Saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began.

Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.

In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price.

Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.

Universal Pictures Fast X hits theaters May 19.
