Fans have been tipping that a Young Avengers project was coming for some time. In addition to that we have various insiders who say it is, and that a Young Avengers Disney+ is being developed. The question was posed to Marvel boss Kevin Feige by EW in a recent interview. However, in usual Feige fashion, he didn’t give too much away.

“As a comic fan, anything in the comics is always our inspiration and our guide point. How those things come together and in what shape, it’s always subverting expectations, it’s always half the fun as meeting them,” Feige said. “But, yes, you can certainly see that Phase 4 is introducing all sorts of new types of characters with the potential being endless. Now, all of us at Marvel Studios feel like Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man 1, as new actors and new performers come in and we tell them they’re part of a bigger universe. They just now have to do the work required to build their audience. I’m happy to say everybody that’s here, certainly where I’m sitting now, is doing amazing work and [I] can’t wait to show them the world.”

Very coy response, but then Feige is a master at this now. Some outlets are running this as almost a Young Avengers confirmed headline, and that’s simply not true. However, I also think most fans will assume Fiege is being deliberately vague with this response. Feige never lies, he would not say there was no Young Avengers if there was. He also won’t confirm it till he and Disney decide the time is right.

So is there a Young Avengers project coming? It seems highly likely at this point. We already have Speed and Wiccan, and Patriot is rumored to show up in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We also know Kate Bishop will be in Hawkeye, and we have Ms. Marvel and Ironheart to come. Within the movies it seems like Cassie Lang will be developed into a Young Avenger, and who knows who else?

I’m pretty confident we will be getting a Young Avengers event show on Disney+, I just don’t know for sure when.
