Feud Rumors Cleared Up By Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel

We are only a couple of days away from the release of the Fate of the Furious and rumors have been racing through the internet about a feaud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. This goes back to an instagram post where Johnson shared a behind the scene video of some of the shooting for the Fate of the Furious. He praised he female co-stars but then contiuned on to bash some of his male co-stars saying

“My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” the former professional wrestler wrote. “The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es.”

Although studios tried to downplay the the feud between Johnson and Diesel it was reported a few weeks ago that the two stars had been separated for the press tour. Last Saturday during the red carpet event at the premiere of the Fate of the Furious both Johnson and Diesel commented on the rumors to Entertainment Tonight in separate interviews.

Johnson Commented,
“Just like, in life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things,” he added. “And again, the most important thing is just the movie. So I’m happy that we’re here in New York City, I’m happy the fans love it.”

Diesel also talked about where they stand as far as a friendship
“We still love each other, that’s my boy,” Diesel says of his costar. “When I was making that difficult decision, should there be an 8 or not, I called [Johnson] and he said, ‘Brother, I will be there shoulder to shoulder with you to make sure it’s the best movie in history.’ And he delivered.”
Also adding that “In my house, he’s ‘Uncle Dwayne,’ and I’m proud of that,”

It would seem to me that they probably had some creative differences during the filming of the film and this lead to this feud between them. Now that the film is all done and ready to be released, it was a good time for them to come back together and clear the air. I feel that feuds like this are common in the industry but a lot of times don’t get any attention because they don’t make it on social media. Overall I am glad to hear that they were able to work it out.

The Fate of the Furious hits theaters this Friday April 14, 2017
