So, it has been confirmed by Disney that the final title of the Agatha series is…Agatha! Oh how clever the marketing for this show has been. Yes, I’m being sarcastic. It turns out that all the false titles we have had such as House of Harkness and Darkhold Diaries are going to be episode titles, or at least that’s the rumor. Whereas, it turns out the series was called simply Agatha all along. Do you get it? It was called Agatha all along! 4th Dimensional chess level of marketing there by Disney.
TCC reported this news recently and soon after we got confirmation of the new title on Disney‘s official site. The new design for the title is really just the same without any subtitles.
I’m not saying it was a horrible idea, but if this was supposed to be smart, then it backfired. The general public have no idea what the title for this show is and won’t until the trailers start. For us who do follow rumors and production news it has just been confusing and silly.

This certainly should not indicate I’m somehow disappointed in the show, I haven’t seen it. The title isn’t that important to whether this show is a success or not. It’s for me too cute an idea to have worked in any beneficial way. All it does is mess up outlets like ourselves. IF this had happened across a series of trailers, all with new titles. Then, the final trailer declares it was Agatha, all along, then we’d all get to share the little joke. However, this was not the case.
Agatha is still coming out this year on Disney+, however for now we have no premiere date. In fact outside of some title changes there has been no official news or marketing whatsoever for the show yet. I really liked Agatha in WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn is great, so I hope this show is fun. However, let’s wait for a trailer at least.
What do you think then as the final title of the Agatha series is simply Agatha? If you read my articles you’ll know I’ve seen this one coming and been using Agatha on it’s own for some time, but let us know what you think below.
