Earlier this year had a sad 24 hours pass when Brooklyn Nine-Nine was canceled by FOX. Luckily, NBC realized how much fandom there was surrounding the show, and quickly went about picking it back up, ordering 13 episodes for its sixth season (they have since ordered another handful). Now, we have our first taste of what we can expect, thanks to a newly-released teaser.
When we last left the officers of the NYPD’s 99th precinct, they were eagerly awaiting whether or not Captain Holt got promoted to Police Commissioner. Holt himself had read the email, but true to his personality, no one was able to read his deadpan expression, so the status of his job was left up in the air (and that would have made for a pretty crappy series-ender if it hadn’t been picked up by NBC.

But if you were hoping to catch an indication of what ultimately happened, you’ll be disappointed in this first tease. All we get are 15 seconds and a couple of jokes, but it’s clear that they haven’t missed a beat, despite moving to another network. Based on what we’ve seen so far, if you love what we’ve had in the show for the past five seasons, then get ready for another solid season of more.
