Every perfect utopian society often ended with disastrous results. In the upcoming suspense thriller series Moonhaven for AMC+, it will be a fight for utopian preservation on the moon as Earth falls into disarray.

The ensemble cast includes Emma McDonald (Queens of Mystery), Dominic Monaghan (Lost), Amara Karan (Doctor Who), Ayelet Zurer (Losing Alice), Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Kadeem Hardison (Black Monday, and Yazzmin Newell (The Last Tree).

Peter Ocko (Lodge 49, Black Sails, Elementary) created the series.

Here is the official synopsis:

Moonhaven centers on Bella Sway (McDonald), a lunar cargo pilot and smugger 100 years in the future who finds herself accused of a crime and marooned on Moonhaven, a utopian community set on a 500 square mile Garden of Eden built on the Moon to find solutions to the problems that will soon end civilization on Mother Earth. A skeptic in Paradise, Bella is sucked into a conspiracy to gain control of the artificial intelligence responsible for Moonhaven’s miracles and teams with a local detective to stop the forces that want to destroy Earth’s last hope before they are destroyed themselves.

This new AMC+ definitely has a great cast with some mystery blended into the sci-fi series. Not too much is revealed in the teaser trailer, but audiences don’t have to wait very long to check out the series. Personally, I enjoy these brinks of the apocalypse series where the characters race against time to save civilization. I can’t wait for this series.

Moonhaven streams on AMC+ on Thursday, July 7.
