Is this the first official Doc Ock confirmation? Look, Alfred Molina IS playing Dock Ock in Spider-Man 3/Homecoming 3, (whatever you like to call it). Molina’s involvement began as rumor, but was quickly elevated to a damn certainty through trades. However, outside of the returning cast from Spider-Man: Far From Home, new additions have not been made official.

We do now have some official Doc Ock confirmation courtesy of MJ herself Zendaya. Zendaya of course is 100% in Spider-Man 3, and she recently said how nice Alfred Molina was. Since Zendaya and Molina have never worked together outside of Spider-Man 3, well, this pretty much confirms Molina’s presence on set. Let’s be honest though, this is hardly breaking news because the secret was out the bag quite some time ago on Molina, “who’s so nice by the way”. More thought is definitely focused on what other characters may show up in Spider-Man 3. In fact, at some point almost every character that ever appeared in a Spider-Man movie has been rumored by someone. Former Goblin Dane DeHaan recently denied he had any involvement with Spider-Man 3. DeHaan was also rumored to be coming back and that one never panned out. You can catch that story in the related section above.

My guess is that not all these Spider-Man rumors will pan out, but some will. It’s currently very tricky to work out which is which though. I’m not sure about this whole Spider-Verse business, but I have faith in Marvel. Fingers crossed for this one, but can’t help feeling a little worried at the same time.

So is this official Doc Ock confirmation, or is Zendaya just really close with Alfred Molina? Thoughts below as always.
