May is going to be a great month for trips to the theater. Not only do we have a new Star Wars film this month, but the Merc with the Mouth will also make his triumphant return to the big screen. With Deadpool 2 releasing next Friday, the first reactions are in, and they point to the film being another huge success for the character and the studio. The reactions are for the most part off-the-charts good, with one person making an incredibly bold statement, saying that Deadpool 2 is better than Avengers: Infinity War.

#Deadpool2 is no doubt the most violent major release since Kill Bill Volume 1. It’s also funnier than the first and has me genuinely excited for a sequel. Oh and it features a ton of Canada jokes, so of course I loved it.

If were you on the fence about this film, these reactions should put you over the top. Of course, no film can please everyone.

A couple of the reactions also point out that the film has ramped up the vulgarity and violence, which means it should please fans of the first film. Deadpool’s schtick gets old quickly to some folks, I am not one of them. I really never had any worries about this film and judging from the early reactions, Deadpool 2 is already exceeding expectations.
There was no doubt I was going to be in theater opening night, but now I can’t stop thinking about this post-credits scene, it must be something truly special. What could it be?
