Did you love John Wick, but maybe wished it focused almost exclusively on the Continental Hotel? If that premise suits you just a tad bit more, then it’s possible that Hotel Artemis may be up your alley. This pulpy, indie flick features a star-studded cast that includes Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, and Dave Bautista, among others.

The trailer is very high-octane and follows a couple of criminals who head to Hotel Artemis following a botched heist, which sees one of them injured. But Hotel Artemis ain’t a hotel, despite its name. In reality, it’s a hospital for criminals. In this film, their trip to Artemis is only the beginning. In addition to the tension among the baddies in the hospital, there is a kingpin on the outside who wants to take out one of the patients…but that doesn’t fall in line with the rules…

Below is the official synopsis for Hotel Artemis:

Set in riot-torn, near-future Los Angeles, HOTEL ARTEMIS is an original, high-octane action-thriller starring Jodie Foster as The Nurse, who runs a secret, members-only hospital for criminals. Jodie Foster is joined by an all-star cast that includes Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista.

What do you think of this trailer for first-time director Drew Pearce (who is known for writing scripts for films like Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation)? Let us know your thoughts down below!

Hotel Artemis hits theaters on June 8, 2018.
