One of the images features Godzilla himself unleashing a massive amount of energy via his atomic breath into the sky. The other one features two of the human characters in the film Dr. Emma Russell, played by Vera Farmiga and her daughter Madison played by Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown.

Godzilla: King of Monsters takes place five years after the events of 2014’s Godzilla. According to Dougherty Godzilla has not been seen since the destruction at the end of that film. “The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting,” says Dougherty, “but there’s paranoia and endless speculation about whether he is the only one out there or whether we’re threatened by others like his kind.”
