Free Guy Trailer Hits With A Big Video Game Worthy Bang!

Video games have come a long way since the 1970s and Pong. There have been plenty of attempts to bring games to life on the big screen too. Not many have succeeded and the top-grossing one happens to star the same guy starring in the upcoming Free Guy, which was Ryan Reynolds in Detective Pikachu. Most video game movies suck though. Let’s admit that, easily. What about movies about games though? I am a huge fan of Ready Player One, even though it didn’t break records, it seems poised to get a sequel. What if we combined The Truman Show and Ready Player One though? Well, that is exactly what Free Guy looks like.

The action-comedy film sees Guy, played by Reynolds, realizing he is a Non-playable Character (NPC) in a video game and going off the set path. It’s a fun idea that looks like it could be a great feel-good movie filled with great amounts of fantasy violence, and who doesn’t love some ultra-violence of the fantasy type?

What did you think of the trailer? Is this a must-see for you? Let us know in the comments below!
