This weekend is the release of Epix’s new modern horror series, From. This series takes us to a small rural town where all who enter are trapped for what seems forever. That is if they can survive the horrors that surround them. There are mysterious creatures that surround the town and hunt at night. Despite this danger, the residents try to maintain what they have left of a normal life during the daytime. Through the eyes of the Matthews family, we will learn about the town, the people, and the horrors. Can they survive?

The small-town setting of From makes it so much creepier. Also, the series doesn’t spare us of the horrible things that these creatures are capable of. Right off the start, we see the blood and parts left by them in the nighttime. Despite these gory visuals, From’s pacing is really good. Only showing us just enough to keep wondering what is around the corner. Letting our imagination wander what is hiding in the trees.

To get us ready for the premiere this weekend, LRM Online‘s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with some of the stars of Epix’s From. This includes Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Eion Bailey. Perrineau plays the declared leader of the town who is doing what he can to keep everyone safe. But he is also burdened with also helping new people who end up trapped. Like the Matthews, who are played by Moreno and Bailey.

During our conversation, we talk about them building their characters and the specific characteristics that make them up. For example, for Moreno and Bailey, it’s the family dynamic that they have to showcase throughout the series. As well as the journey that audiences take with them learning about their situation.
