In case you missed it, Frozen II’s soundtrack has already hit digital stores, including the likes of Spotify, and while that may not mean a lot to some of you, it’s the perfect approach to marketing the upcoming Disney animated film. Why not give them a chance to listen to Idina Menzel’s next big song leading into the movie’s opening weekend? It’s the perfect way to guarantee box office success for a film already headed toward success.

But how much success can we actually expect from this juggernaut? Interestingly enough, the window for predictions is actually pretty wide. According to Deadline, it is expected to make anywhere from $90 million to $135 million domestically. That gives them a $45 million window.

All the same, it’s pretty much guaranteed to outperform the original’s $93.6 million five-day debut. 

Overseas, we’re looking at $120 million to $140 million, making over $240 million a possibility. This could mean it could outperform Toy Story 4, which made $240.9 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

When all said and done, I wouldn’t be surprised if Frozen II made around $1.3 billion worldwide, blowing past the original to become the second-highest-grossing animated film behind this year’s The Lion King.
