Yesterday the full trailer for this Summer’s big DCU movie Supergirl dropped online for fans to take a look at. The film, is an adaptation of sorts from a Tom King comic titled ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’, which was of course the old title of the film as well.

So far, I think fans have been impressed by what they have seen of Supergirl. Though I have seen a few negatives online following this trailer’s release. Plus, the Barside Buzz around test screening reactions hasn’t been quite as positive.

First off, here is the trailer.

As said I’ve seen a few fans lament this is the second film to heavily feature Krypto as a plot device. However, I’d say that is more a fault of Superman than Supergirl given the story that’s being adapted involved Krypto. Never fear DCU fans, I’m sure Krypto won’t be in Lanterns.

As for those test screenings. The Buzz in general is that there have been a lot more test screenings than we usually see. Reason being, there have bene some issues which DC Studios are trying to get right. It apparently has a rather dark tone and we’ve heard from leakers that different endings have been tested.

There’s not long to go now though as Supergirl will be in cinemas on June 26.

Supergirl, DC Studios’ newest feature film to hit the big screen, arrives in theaters worldwide next summer from Warner Bros. Pictures, and stars Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie directs the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. Alcock stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
