Space Jam: A New Legacy – Malcom D. Lee
This weekend we finally get the return of the Toon Squad in Warner Bros. Pictures’ Space Jam: A New Legacy. Twenty-five years ago the Looney Tunes called upon one of the greatest basketball players of all time to help them defeat Moron Mountain in a basketball game. At the time, that player was none other than Michael Jordan. Two and a half decades later there is someone else that people claim to be the best in the world, Lebron James.
It’s only fitting that in their time of need they turn to James to help them defeat a new enemy. In Space Jam: A New Legacy we will see James and the Tunes go up against a rogue AI that has also kidnapped his son. His team is composed of a powered-up digitized championship roster called the Goon Squad.
Here is the synopsis for Space Jam: A New Legacy
Welcome to the Jam! Basketball champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I..
LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I. ‘s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.
In honor of the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez had a little one on one time with two of the most popular Tunes. Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny. This was a fun and interesting experience that required a little patience. But it’s a fabulous thing that I am a Gestures veteran. You can check out the clip down below!
Warner Bros. Pictures’ Space Jam: A New Legacy is now in theaters everywhere. As well as HBO Max for thirty days.
